Fractals are created on a computer with special fractal rendering software. They are a visual image of mathematical equations and while they are very complex, the process is a simple, repeating one. Fractals are infinite and the greater they are magnified, the more detail is revealed.
By altering the mathematical equations and applying colouring algorithms, many varied and unique fractals can be generated.
All the fractals in this gallery were created using Ultrafractal and some were further processed in Adobe Photoshop.
